We are pleased to invite you to SMEEG 2013, an international conference on Stochastic Models in Ecology, Evolution and Genetics to be held in Angers, France, from December 9 to 13, 2013.
This event will bring together both mathematicians and biologists who share interests in theoritical or applied aspects of ecology, evolution and genetic modeling. Topics will include:
The conference aims to encourage discussions of the recent methodological and conceptual advances in these fields and to share knowledge with young researchers.
SMEEG 2013 is organized by a group of mathematicians and biologists from the University of Angers, Agrocampus Ouest and INRA, who are involved in MODEMAVE research project on mathematical models applied to vegetal biology.
Ce colloque est la réunion annuelle du GDR 2875 Topologie Algébrique et Applications ; son but général est de réunir des mathématiciens débutants et des chercheurs confirmés travaillant dans ce domaine. Le programme comprendra un cours et des exposés de recherche.
Le premier exposé commencera à 10h et le dernier terminera à 16h.

An international conference on "Advanced methods in mathematical finance" will take place in Angers, France from the 2th to the 7th of September 2013. The conference starts 3th of September morning and ends 6th of September evening.
This conference is devoted to the innovations in the mathematical analysis of financial datas, new numerical methods for finance and applications to the risk modeling. The topics selected include risk measures, credit contagion, insider trading, information in finance, stochastic control and its applications to portfolio choices and liquidation, models of liquidity, pricing, and hedging. During this manifestation we plan to present new models, new methods and new results in quantitative finance , to include an analysis of new financial products such as exotic derivatives, to give several application-oriented presentation of mathematical finance, to cover such topics as pricing and hedging with default. More precicely, the following topics will be previleged :

Ron Doney sera invité du 19 au 24 juillet au LAREMA par Loïc Chaumont.
Ron Doney est professeur émérite à l’Université de Manchester. Il est probabiliste et étudie plus particulièrement les marches aléatoires et leurs équivalents en temps continu : les processus de Lévy. Il a souvent collaboré avec Loïc Chaumont (Université d’Angers) au cours des quinze dernières années. L’objet de la future visite de Ron Doney est de montrer la conjecture suivant laquelle la loi d’un processus de Lévy est déterminée par son processus d’échelle ascendant. Des progrès ont déjà été faits dans ce sens lors d’une visite de Loïc Chaumont à l’Université de Manchester en avril dernier.
Andres ANGEL est actuellement en postdoctorat au Hausdorf Center for Mathematics à Bonn - Allemagne. Il sera de nouveau l'invité de Luc Menichi du laboratoire LAREMA à Angers du 22/02/2010 au 02/03/2010.Andres Angel s'intéresse aux orbifolds, au cobordismes, à la topologie des espaces de modules et récemment à la topologie des cordes. C'est précisément sur ce dernier thème que nous avons prévu de collaborer.
Dylan Thurston est professeur assistant au département mathématiques de l'Université d'Indiana et sera invité au LAREMA du 27 mai au 5 juin 2014 par Tan Lei
Pendant cette visite nous allons travailler sur le problème de caratérisations des fractions rationnelles. Nous allons explorer des méthodes combinatoires (cartes plongées sur la sphère) ainsi que des méthodes géométriques. L’entropie topologique sur un graphe invariant
donne aussi une classification qui a déjà porté ses fruits dans le cas particulier des fractions rationnelles.
